Robert Reil, The Business Man
As a business man Robert had started out in 1979 as a US Navy Machinist. In 1984
he changed careers to become a Registered Honda motorcycle technician.
In 1990 Robert put his tool box away and pursued a career in robotics and automation.
In 1994 He realized financial success was not going to involve being an
employee. He decided to become a Microsoft Certified System Engineer and
pursue going on his own.
In
1996 Robert started Reilcorp.com.
Reilcorp supplied Information Technology services for Atlanta small
business firms as either consultation, full support, site rollouts or
upgrades. Reilcorp also hostwd virus and spam filtered email
for customers as well. In 2002 after Motorcyclecarbs.com took off Robert closed down Reilcorp.
In
2001 Robert saw a niche when he could not find parts to rebuild the
carburetors on his 1980 Yamaha XS 850. Shortly there after Motorcyclecarbs.com
web site started with 10 pages. At last count in 2008 it boasted of over 3,500 pages online and
still growing towards over 20,000 pages.
In 2008 A difficult time for Motorcyclecarbs.com arrived till 2011 in which time Robert and his business partner (his wife) no longer got along. For a time there was difficulty with communication, trust, along with the business processes, crashed servers, and the issue of back orders industry wide made customer service extremely difficult to keep up with. At this writing (Fall 2011) Robert and his now ex business partner have settled amicably and he is no longer associated with Motorcyclecarbs.com.
In Fall 2011 Robert bought the Motorcyclecarbrepair.com domain name with the intention of focusing on profiding carburetor repair services to the industry which proved as a successful service in his past. |
